Product description

Push Plastic Low Warp ABS Filament

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a thermoplastic made from petroleum. ABS was the first type of filament developed for material extrusion (FDM/FFF) 3D printing. ABS releases harmful fumes when melted for during the 3D printing process and must be used in a well ventilated environment. It also requires a heated bed that can reach the temperatures of 100-110°C.

This ABS contains an additive that mitigates shrinkage to prevent warping, cracking, or parts lifting from the bed!

**Because of its toxicity, difficulty in printing, and that the advancements in the properties of PLA now meet and sometimes exceed the properties of ABS, NWA3D does not recommend ABS for printing in a classroom environment.**

The benefits of ABS include:

  • Affordable
  • Virtually no shrinkage means great layer bonding and dimensional stability
  • Easy to post-process than most PLAs
  • Stronger and more flexible than most PLAs
  • Higher heat resistance than most PLAs
  • Large color selection

Recommended Print Settings

  • Printing Temperature: 230-240°C (sometimes cooler for lighter pigments)
  • Bed Temperature: 110°C

Made in the USA in Springdale, Arkansas.

Meets quality standard of 1.75 mm/2.85 mm +/- .05 mm in diameter and .03 mm in roundness.
