Drew Wallis

Director of Education

Drew Wallis grew up in Farmington, Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2010 with a Double Major in Communication and International Relations. After graduation, he became a licensed teacher and has over eight years of experience teaching educational technology and computer science. Besides emerging technology and education, Drew has a passion for science fiction, drumming, and kayaking. He currently lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas and calls the Hogs on a semi-frequent basis. Drew cofounded NWA3D in 2015.

Joshua Van Vleet

Director of Operations

Joshua Van Vleet grew up in Garden City, Kansas where he was able to pursue his interests in advanced science and technology as a home schooler. Joshua has over six years of managerial experience and five years of self employment experience. Besides being an avid tinkerer and maker, Joshua loves to fly drones, network, and dissect things to see how they work. He currently resides in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife and their three daughters, who are also home schooled. Joshua cofounded NWA3D in 2015.

Tim Caffrey

Director of Business Development

Tim Caffrey grew up in Albuquerque and holds a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. He began operating industrial 3D printers in 1992 while working at Boeing. More recently, Tim was a consultant on industrial 3D printing and a principal author of the Wohlers Report, an annual report on the state of the 3D printing industry. He has authored consulting reports for multinational and Fortune 500 companies, presented at 3D printing conferences on four continents, and written on the technology extensively. Tim has 25 years of technical, marketing, and creative writing experience. He's a beekeeper, actor, avid cyclist, and a left-handed seventh son. He and his wife live in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They have three adult children. Tim became a partner in 2017.

Carly Jenkins

3D Printer Technician

Carly Jenkins grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2012. Carly worked as an aerospace and defense engineer for three years before returning to the University of Arkansas to earn a Master of Business Administration. Besides working on robots and tinkering with technology, Carly likes to play golf with her family and hang out with her husband and their new puppy, Grace. Carly lives in Fayetteville with her grandmother.

Derek Ratchford

Associate Teacher

Derek Ratchford grew up in Marshall, Arkansas. He attended the University of Central Arkansas where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Masters of Arts in Teaching. Derek has been working for the Springdale School District for the past three years as a certified teacher and is currently the EAST Facilitator at Sonora Middle School. When he is not teaching and learning about new technologies, Derek enjoys getting outdoors through hiking or canoeing with his family. Derek and his wife currently live in Springdale, Arkansas with their three children.

Daniel Power

Contract Prototyping Specialist

Daniel Power grew up in Springdale, Arkansas. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2013 with a Mechanical Engineering degree and then helped design and manufacture auto parts, quickly gaining over 2,000 hours of 3D modeling experience. He also designed water and air systems at a large architecture and engineering firm in the area. He devotes much of his free time to 3D design, playing piano, and hanging out with friends. Daniel still calls Springdale his home.
